Senior Community Specialist

GOG's mission is to make games live forever. We safeguard and offer DRM-free classic PC games to millions of passionate gamers worldwide, empowering them to protect, share, and relive their gaming legacies for years to come.

We are looking for a Senior Community Specialist to help us grow our Patrons community, a community of video game preservation enthusiasts and heroes who choose to contribute meaningfully to GOG’s preservation efforts.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

As a Senior Community Specialist, you'll be responsible for growing the number of active GOG Patrons who support GOG’s preservation efforts each month. You will contribute to strategies that align with our mission of making games live forever and our goal of turning GOG users into game preservation heroes.

• Growing the Patron Community: Expand the reach of the Patron program by inspiring existing GOG users and the wider gaming community to join our preservation efforts. You will design and execute community-centric initiatives, collaborating with our Brand, PR, Marketing, and Product teams to welcome new preservation heroes into the fold.

• Keeping Patrons Happy: Nurture and champion our Patron community. You will manage the Patrons' Discord server, ensuring that our supporters are heard, respected, and kept in the loop with transparent communication. Your goal is to foster a rewarding experience that makes Patrons proud of their contribution and naturally want to continue supporting our shared mission.

• Reporting: Track and report key metrics for core community growth and engagement, and implement appropriate improvements.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• Community Growth & Outreach: Proven ability to create and execute initiatives that inspire gamers to join a dedicated, core community. You know how to collaborate with PR, Brand, and Social teams to share our message and welcome new supporters to the cause.

• Dedicated Community Management: Deep experience running private, highly engaged communities. You are completely at home managing a Discord server, writing engaging community updates, and creating touchpoints that make Patrons feel valued and directly connected to our mission. You know how to navigate community feedback, moderate discussions and maintain a welcoming space.

• PC Games Expertise: A deep passion for gaming history, nostalgia for classic titles, and an appreciation for their cultural significance. You can authentically convey why these classics - and GOG's preservation mission-matter to our most dedicated fans.

• Excellent Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with native-level proficiency in English. You can craft clear, impactful messages and interact comfortably, openly, and empathetically with our most invested community members.

• Crisis Management: Proven experience in handling sensitive community issues and maintaining a positive brand image under pressure.
